One of the great features of this internship is that it allows you to save reports, which you can compile into a custom portfolio of results to demonstrate your proficiency to prospective employers. Each module has approximately 34 reports, and in total, there are 615 reports that cover the types of coding seen in a multi-specialty medical practice. This helps you develop proper coding sequences and become more proficient in your work. Another great thing about this internship is its flexibility. You can complete cases and reports in any order, which gives you the freedom to tailor your learning experience to your needs. Plus, the online format allows you to view reports, make highlights, and submit all codes electronically, making the process more efficient and convenient.

It's important to remember that all students must complete the internship within one year to receive credit for one year of work experience towards their certification exam. To receive credit, students are required to clock in at least 4 hours per week. It's worth noting that these hours do not have to be completed consecutively.
